31. Optos Imaging of Peripheral Tumors

Purpose: To discuss the use of Optos Panaoramic imaging for the detection and monitoring of suspicious tumors and uveal melanoma. A series of cases will be discussed. Advantages, disadvantages and possible indications for imaging will be discussed.
Methods: A retrospective review of cases of peripheral tumors and uveal melanoma and their management was undertaken. Patients were managed with observation, plaque brachytherapy or other vitreoretinal surgery.
Results: Cases of peripheral tumors and uveal melanoma were identified and Optos imaging was part of patient management. In addition, patients were also managed with observation, plaque brachytherapy, enucleation and vitrectomy.
Conclusion: Optos imaging of peripheral tumors and uveal melanoma has certain advantages over conventional imaging techniques and may have clinical value for patient management.
