INTERNAL LIMITING MEMBRANE REMOVAL DURING ERM AND MH SURGERY

More than ten years ago, the authors demonstrated that the common factor of ERM and MH was a gliosis developed at the level of the ILM. Today, after 7000 ILM dissections, they analyze different results and methods of practice in idiopathic, inflammatory or post RD ERM's, as well as in MH stages 1,2,3 or 4. These very similar findings are followed by very similar functional results, provided that we analyze each in function of pre-op visual acuity.
