Material and methods: Material contains 8 cases with different posttraumatic iris and lens loss combined with vitreoretinal pathology and 1 case of wide atonic pupil after vitreoretinal surgery and cataract removal in PVR. In all cases standard pars plana vitrectomy was performed and colour iris prosthesis intraocular lens was implanted into the ciliary sulcus and fixated transscleraly.

Results: Postoperative results both functional and cosmetic were satisfactory.

Conclusion: Combined vitreoretinal surgery and colour iris prosthesis lens implantation is a safe procedure and gives good functional and cosmetic results in selected cases with posttraumatic aniridia and aphakia combined with vitreoretinal pathology.
