DELAMINATION OF FIBROVASCULAR TISSUE IN DIABETIC TRACTION

We are presenting an approach to the fibrovascular delamination in diabetic patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy. In all cases we begin the central delamination using the vitreo retina stalk. This way we are removing also the mixture of attached cortical vitreous and membranes together from the surface of a fragile retina without a direct pick and lift. It seems to us that is a useful not traumatic technique for central delamination.
